We help people in need!

We help people in need!

Sometimes things in our life do not come as we expect them to.

Fellow humans are uprooted daily by war, persecution and struggle daily to find shelter. The number of these people is constantly increasing.

Moving violently means access to food, water, shelter, health care, education, employment, freedom, family and loved ones is disrupted.

Each of us can do something to help all of them rebuild their lives.

Below are some ways we can all contribute.

  1. We start with the most basics. The more aware we are about the crisis, the better we can help.

You can find out about the conditions that led to the displacement and persecution of people and the day-to-day hardships they are facing, from credible sources of global Institutions such as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, as well as actions of local bodies. Seeing the shocking statistics about the refugee crisis can help sustain the situation.

  1. Dedicate time to support in a hands-on manner. You can do this by registering as a volunteer with agencies that have local resettlement centers.

There are many ways you can help, either with refugee guidance, care, childcare assistance and refugee training to effectively develop skills and find a job.

  1. Donate essentials for their daily lives such as furniture, used clothing, books and toys that can help them feel more at home in a new environment. Local resettlement centers receive donations that can be put to immediate use. Some organizations even have registries online where you can buy basic items sent directly to refugees.
